Week 3 or I'm in a DC Comics reading frenzy.

As the title says, I seem to be in a DC Comic reading frenzy and I believed it's been sparked by Final Crisis.  Grant Morrison does that to me, makes me want to read comics.  Granted, Grant does put out some pure shit, but the good stuff always makes my brain turn into a whirly violent fury of comic reading madness.  So this week I'm playing catch up on DC comics.  I go through fazes on comics.  Sometimes I'm reading everything I can get my hands on, other times, I don't ever want to see another comic again.  That's why I have to play catch up so often.

This week, I plowed through Justice League of America Vol 1 The Tornado's Path, Justice League America Vol 2 The Lightning Saga, Green Lantern No Fear, Infinite Crisis, Identity Crisis, Flash Secret of Barry Allen, and Superman & The Legion (looks like I'm on a Geoff Johns kick too).    By far my favorites were The Lightning Saga and Superman & the Legion, but I'm a nut for pre Zero Hour Legion so the return of them was pure happiness for me.  All the other titles were solid, fun reads. My only real problem with Identity Crisis was....why didn't Atom's wife just....ask him to come back...she left him...

Single comics read this week were the Walking Dead #55 (subtitled:  see how many horrible things we can do to the main character), JSA Kingdom Come Specials Superman, Magog and The Kingdom, and X-force #9 (sporting a very nice cover).  The JSA books were solid but I felt I was missing out a bit since I haven't yet read the main title.  Which will lead into next week's post...
