Comics read this week

Here's what I read this week:

New Mutants #1
R.E.B.E.L.S #1-4
Unwritten #1
Walking Dead #61
Azrael #3
Oracle #1-3
Action #877
Dark Reign Young Avengers #1
Wolverine #73
X-factor #43
Final Crisis Aftermath Run #1
Final Crisis Aftermath Escape #1

My favorites this week were the REBELs run and the Unwritten. If you are a fan of any of the old L.E.G.I.O.N. comics pick this book up, you'll love it. I forgot how much I love a well written Vril Dox. Unwritten is a new Vertigo series by Mike Carey and Peter Gross and the first issue is only a buck. Pretty much what if Harry Potter became a real person but didn't know he wasn't real.

Final Crisis Aftermath Run had me laughing out loud. Never thought I'd enjoy a comic about the Human Flame this much. He's such a horrible bastard, how could I not love him. Escape was very enjoyable as well.

Jason Aaron's Wolverine short story in #73 was great. Walking Dead #61, how can the most disturbing parts of this book not have anything to do with zombies?

I don't think Zeb Wells, the writer for New Mutants, has ever read any of the New Mutant characters before as he seemed to give them all new personalities. It's a shame because I love these characters for the most part, especially Cannonball who got the worst of it.

Walking Dead #61, how can the most disturbing parts of this book not have anything to do with zombies?Agreed. I have loved this series since I read the first trade (which you recommended). It is probably Kirkman's finest work because it is about people--the zombies are just the plot device.

And I am looking forward to Unwritten. I have been gone far too long from Vertigo.
