May 8, 2009 - A word about solicitations

Hey all, in the last couple previews we have some big solicitations, between the Batman & Robin, Detective Comics starring Batwoman, Batman Streets of Gotham, Blackest Night etc. Please keep in mind that it's very helpful for us for you to put these titles on the list when they are announced, especially the event books (Blackest Night). It's hard for us to know what to order if no one is asking for the book right away. We order two months in advanced so it's often a guessing game on how many to order. If you notice that titles are selling out before you can get it, this is the reason why. Not only are the subscriptions a way so you don't miss an issue, it's also used by us to judge how "hot" a title is going to be and how much we should order for the stands. The Blackest Night FCBD issue had a great checklist at the back for the upcoming event, so please let us known what of these books you'd like. We will be ordering the main title for the people on for Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps, but titles like the Tales and Blackest Night Batman will not be automatically ordered for you so please let us know right away if you'd like these titles.

The Wednesday Comics is another example, this has all the makings for a great series with the amount of really good creators on it but we need to know who's going to want this.
