My absolute favorite this week is Batman And Robin #1. They really nailed this one. The story is fun, the art is amazing and there's one page in particular that I said out loud, "that's so cool." I'm really liking Dick Grayson as Batman and Damien as Robin, there's a great chemistry between the two. Plus, the sound effects are drawn into the panel. I'm so excited about the Batman titles, yes I even want to read the Winick book. Crazy.
Following up, Final Crisis Aftermath Run #2 made me burst into laughter, I mean who doesn't love tiny dogs being thrown out a skyscraper? Both Scalped and Superman World of New Krypton were both solid reads. My runner up this week is Secret Six. Last week I blew through all their issues from Villain United, their regular series and their appearance in Birds of Prey. This is easily one of my favorites now and made an audible squeal when I see it on the invoice.
We also got in a one page preview of the new Wednesday Comics and I'm even more excited about the project, even if it's on the newspaper print. I guess a bunch of retailers are up in arms about the paper but if you get enough retailers gathered in one area, they turn into a bunch of old ladies that complain about everything. This thing is going to be ultra cool and unique, not just the same old GLOSSY dribble.

Very much looking forward to Wednesday Comics too and for the same reason. Plus I'm liking the books I'm getting where a bunch of characters are appearing in them (JLA, JSA, B&tB, and soon Adventure Comics!), so WC is an extension of that.
I've only heard good things about Secret Six, so I may have to read the trade.
Do you know what DC is doing with Tim Drake now that he's not Robin?
And where's your comments about Flash: Rebirth 2? ;-)
Tim is going to be Red Robin. He believes Bruce is still alive and is going to search him out. First issue was pretty good. As for Flash Rebirth, they mentioned the Black Flash helping them defeat Darkseid in Final Crisis, but that was the Black Racer. I was wondering if they are just glossing over it.
Tim is Red Robin?! I thought stupid Jason Todd who should forever remain dead was going to be RR. Hmm, maybe I should check Red Robin out. (No, dammit! You do NOT need more comics!)
DC seems to be glossing over FC entirely, or, at least DC editorial is. :) I thought I read somewhere that the Black Racer and the Black Flash are aspects of the same death force or something. Maybe. Who knows. DC doesn't. In fact, it seems that there's the Geoff Johns piece of the DC pie (95%) and everybody else gets the other 5%, so whatever Johns says goes. *shrug*
Did you see that Johns is writing the definitive 21st century origin story for Superman? I guess Birthright's run is over.
I just re-read Final Crisis in the HC, which is even better that way. One of the Flashes says they've outraced the Black Racer when he was called Black Flash, I just didn't remember it. BTW, just read Batman Streets of Gotham...really good...:)
